Translating the vision into a working drawing to insure the desired aesthetic and proportions, and to prevent mistakes in the elaborate designs. Visually built before the actual work begins.

Every assemblage requires specific techniques and joining methods to produce the desired form, as simple as glueing up a block for sculpting or as complex as a series of precise machining manuevers or proceedures for hand-cut dovetail joints.
